13 September 2008
Up and at them early as the trip is now winding down. AM flies out tomorrow
morning on business so we need to get back today. Breakfast at Huckleberry
Restaurant in St. Regis where we run into Tim Linehan and Johnny from Libby, MT.
They guided us in 2005 on the Kootenai River. They were down in September
guiding on the Clark Fork for a few days.

Heading out onward on I-90, we stop at
Post Falls, Idaho to hook up with MS who was unable to attend this years trip
due to family needs. We bring him up to date and share some flies. We arrive
back at JR’s at 3 pm on Saturday.
Another Super Trip!! - total mileage of about 2766 miles over 14 days in
Montana. We had snow, hail, rain, wind, sun with heat. Don’t know the count but
we certainly caught several hundred fish although we had days where we hardly
caught anything at all! We hit only a small percentage of the great fishing
waters in Montana – this is a trip we could re-do and never fish the same water!
A wonderful thanks to all the folks we met and chatted with throughout the trip
– you made our memories special!!
