28 August 2010
Today is the day we head back home. Packing up we elect to leave most of our
fishing gear in the truck as 4 of us have to travel in the Durango back to
Bellevue. Chatting with Roger (hotel owner), he retired from the computer biz a
few years ago and moved here from Las Vegas – a town in serious change mode. His
son owned Bearmouth hotel where AB and AM stayed originally in 1997! Small
world!!
Before we put any serious distance behind us, we stop by our favorite Rock
Creek breakfast place, Ekstrom’s Station. Side Pork is on the menu as usual for
those wanting another chance at cardiovascular damage – Ekstrom’s lives up to
its reputation for good down home food!
We didn't see these critters on the menu!
We had a quiz about this item - suggestions on what it might be for?
Great food and value!!
Be nice or be breakfast!

Heading back home on I-90, we make a bee line for Post Falls, Idaho where MS
heads toward his home in Spokane and we forge on to Bellevue, WA. Arriving in
Bellevue at 5:35 pm, we declare the formal end to the 2010 Yellowstone Gang
adventure!! We only put about 3200 miles on the rigs this time and did fish a
lot of new water.
While we haven’t finished planning or made any final decisions, there is a
groundswell forming to try for Idaho next year, 2011. Stay tuned……I am sure the
fish in Idaho will be bigger and even easier to catch!!
