July 2:  Pete unloading truck at Reflections Inn on the  Clearwater (a very nice Bed & Breakfast) along side the Clearwater River  in Idaho

This B&B has lodging separate from main house - nice rooms - lots of wildlife such as deer and wild turkeys (not shown)

A very nice place and time of year to visit - recommend them highly!! You can call them at 888-926-0855 or find them on the web at   Reflections Inn on the Clearwater

Pete ready to go rafting in the morning - all dolled up for a day of Class IV+ fun!!

Great day of rafting on the Lochsa.  Our guide was Lynn who took us through a wide range of white waer including Terminator, Jonesey's Waves, Housewave, Goat Rocks, Lochsa Falls, Old Man Rock, and Car Crash.  We put in at Fish Creek and took out at Apgar. The water was running somewhat lower than June (-1.0 feet) but it still had a couple of weeks of rafting left. Unfortunately the photographer did not show up so we don't have pictures of the actual rapids!!  Bummer!!  L However, the rapids are big and worth doing.  Suggest going about a week or two earlier for even bigger water.

Did learn new Guide-speak.  When he says:" All forward!!....No, All Back!!.....No, All Forward!!....Ah Sh****!!"  You know you have found a new line through a class IV+ rapid.  At that point we did get to practice what we had been taught about how to go to the high side of the raft!  Fortunately for our raft it did work so we didn't capsize although it was not because of the great line we took through the rapids!!
